First, what is E-Rate?
Born of the Universal Services Act of 1996, the E-Rate program provides school districts and libraries with significant discounts on their telecommunications expenses. Ranging from 20% to 90%, the monies are not grants but discounts funded with fees paid by telecommunications companies. E-Rates primary goal is to connect schools and libraries, and in turn children and patrons, to modern information services. Nicely Done Consulting begain as an E-Rate consulting firm. But we soon saw the other needs the school districts had and have worked to serve those as well.
